Microsoft will use a new interface called the Metro on Windows 8. Metro will have a display interface is completely new and different.
This new interface can be called a revolution of the entire operating system interface of Windows ever made. With the use of Metro in Windows 8 means Microsoft will abandon the classic interface with icons and Aero contained in Windows 7.
Metro does not use the concept of icon to represent each application, but it takes the form of a square box (tile). Metro Display is similar to the interface used in Microsoft's mobile operating system, Windows Phone 7.
"Windows 7 with Aero was not optimized for the natural human gesture and devices with touch screens. Windows 7 is more suited to operate using a mouse," said Hermawan Sutanto, CMO of Microsoft Indonesia in when found KOMPAS.com Media Campaign at Family Gathering event, on Friday (11/25/2011).
Windows 8 is designed for optimal use in devices such as touch screen tablet device but also still be used in desktop computers or laptop properly.
"Although designed to be operated using a touch of the hand, Windows 8 desktop computer users can still use the mouse well," said Hermawan, "Because some applications still require precision mouse," he added.
To use Windows 8 on the computer desktop, Microsft provides a selection of Desktop View interface, the interface is more friendly to users who use the mouse.
